1985 Wagoneer

9/27/2005		Here is my 1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.  I inherited it from a good friend in pretty bad shape.  The engine wouldn't fire up and the interior was trashed.  I acutally got two wagonners and '84 as well.  So i was able to use parts from the even worse wagoneer to make this one work.  I took it to a mechanic and he changed out the fluids and rebuilt the carb.  It runs pretty good now.  Most of the windows did not work... of course they were all automatic!  So with the help of my two brother's-in-law I was able to take motors from the parts wagoneer, fix them up, and install them in the wagoneer.  Now they all work and all but the front driver's triangle window are in original working order. The triangle window will be replaced with one from the parts car when i get back up there to work in the car. It does not however go into 4 wheel drive either.  The selectrac vacuum system in this car is givng me fits. I have joined a forum which has given me some really great ideas on how to fix it.  The problem could be the vac lines or the shift motor engaging the front axle.  I now bought a manual for the jeep and next time i get to the car i hope to have it in 4 wheel drive!  Thanks to everyone at http://www.ifsja.org for all your help.
